MOSCOW, Jan. 13 (Xinhua) -- Russia has extended a special procedure through the end of next year allowing the sale of certain foreign-made medicines, the government said Tuesday.
The decision aims to maintain stable supplies of essential medications to pharmacies, outpatient clinics and hospitals, it said in a statement.
Under the special arrangement, foreign medicines may be sold in their original foreign-language packaging, provided that labeling information is presented in Russian.
Earlier, the Russian government extended simplified procedures for the state registration of certain drugs and the most in-demand medical devices. ■
